Duo Boheme

Duo Bohème features Anna Hennessy on violin and Dave Hennessy on guitar. From ceremony music through cocktail hour, they bring a vintage jazz sound that delights fans both young and seasoned. Their diverse repertoire includes classical, modern and standard pop tunes, gypsy jazz and ethereal originals. Anna and Dave bring their own flavor to each tune, infusing the music with meaning and soul. Couples are invited to request any piece for ceremony processionals and recessional, while longer sets of prelude or cocktail hour are curated by the musicians from their diverse and extensive repertoire. Anna and Dave have been improving the sonic landscape at weddings since 2009! Anna Hennessy is a classically trained violinist with a Master's in Music. She is well known to the music community in Charlottesville as a collaborative musician, with recording credits on numerous folk, country and rock albums. She regularly plays with multiple ensembles, including string quartets and trios. An award-winning orchestra teacher, she is a people person who loves to help couples realize their musical vision to make a most unforgettable day! Dave Hennessy has an extensive career as a recording and touring guitarist and drummer. Writing original music for his own groups and, more recently, for student bands, is one piece of a diverse skillset that also includes multiple genres of guitar style, teaching a full private studio and working with sound equipment. His attention to detail drives the rhythmic train of Duo Boheme!
