Hi, I’m Kara McCoy, founder and creative director of Reverie Paper Co., a Virginia-based wedding stationery studio specializing in refined, cohesive invitation suites and elevated wedding day paper. With a background in Visual Communication Design from Virginia Tech and a master’s in Art Direction from VCU Brandcenter, I bring a branding mindset to weddings — helping couples create a seamless visual story from save-the-dates through day-of details. My specialty includes custom and semi-custom suites, watercolor venue illustrations, and elevated print methods like letterpress, foil, and specialty finishes. I’m known for being highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and timeline-driven — a vendor who values clear communication and cohesive design across every touchpoint of an event. Outside the studio, I’m a wife and mom to my son Wesley, who loves DIY home renovations, re-watching my comfort shows (shoutout to New Girl) and volunteering on the board of Virginians For Change to advocate to gun violence prevention . Professionally, I’m passionate about continuing to elevate the paper experience in Virginia and building strong, respectful relationships with planners, photographers, venues, and fellow creatives who value intentional design. I’m always excited to connect with vendors who believe the details truly matter.

We are thrilled to welcome the newest members to the Charlottesville Wedding Society community! Make sure to connect with them, greet them at our upcoming event, or explore new opportunities together!
