About Me

Katie McFarland, Founder and Owner, Blue Ridge Concierge I'm Katie McFarland, a Charlottesville native with a lifelong passion for travel, hospitality, and showing people the very best of the place I've called home for over 30 years. My path to founding Blue Ridge Concierge started with managing a luxury estate, where I quickly realized that visitors to our area were hungry for something a hotel concierge desk couldn't quite offer: a real local connection. Someone who knows which vineyard to visit on a quiet Tuesday, which bakery makes the best wedding morning pastry spread, and which back roads will make your guests fall in love with the Blue Ridge. Helping people find those experiences became my calling. Blue Ridge Concierge grew from that passion. I've spent years building relationships with the finest local businesses across Charlottesville, Nelson County, Keswick, Crozet, Gordonsville, and beyond, so that when you and your guests arrive, you're tapping into decades of genuine local knowledge rather than a quick internet search. For wedding weekends, I love being the behind-the-scenes resource that makes everything feel effortless. Whether it's coordinating grocery deliveries to the bridal party, arranging airport transfers for out-of-town family, or helping guests discover a hidden gem winery after the rehearsal dinner, I bring the same care and attention to every request, big or small.
