Kim Moody

Kim is the fun-loving lead proprietress of The Estate at River Run and owner of Kim Moody Design, who balances life as a mother, wife, and boss lady all wrapped into one smart business gal. Her calm nature brings you instant peace, and her strong will can, and has, made the impossible happen. Kim's Master's Degree in Conflict Transformation with an emphasis in Negotiation has given her a very specialized niche in the wedding industry. She has spoken at national wedding conferences across the United States for audiences as large as 3,000 event professionals. She has a wall full of diplomas and educational certificates and is constantly enrolling herself in something to continue learning and growing as an individual! Although very business-minded, Kim lets her vibrant and contagious personality shine through! In addition to all she does, Kim works devotedly as an advocate for the wedding industry, especially over the past decade. At the national level, Kim is a member of the Live Events Coalition - a network of 12 million live events professionals across the United States. Within the State of Virginia, Kim served as the Advisor to the President of VOWS, the Virginia Organization of Wedding Standards. As a founding charter member, Kim worked alongside VOWS to actively lobby for the wedding industry in its recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic during the time the wedding industry was crippled by the red tape of the government shutdowns. The weekend or two a summer when she isn’t working, you will find her having a blast at the lake. She values her time at Lake Anna with her son, daughter, husband, and cockapoo Teddy [Roosevelt]. You’ll find her swimming, boating, and hanging on the dock in the sunshine.
