Lyn Waldrop

I’m Lyn Waldrop, a wedding and University of Virginia senior photographer based in Charlottesville. Originally born and raised in the Philippines, I moved to the United States when I was 18 years old and have built a life and business rooted in connection, storytelling, and creating meaningful memories for others. I’ve been married to my husband for 8 years, and together we’re raising our son alongside our dog — the two biggest sources of joy in my life outside of photography. When I’m not behind the camera documenting weddings or senior sessions, you’ll probably find me spending time with my family, watching K-dramas, or rewatching the Insidious movies for the hundredth time. Photography has allowed me to meet so many incredible people, and one of my favorite parts of this industry is the community behind it. I truly love connecting with fellow wedding vendors and creatives who share the same passion for serving people and creating unforgettable experiences. That’s one of the reasons I love being part of the Cville Wedding Society — there’s something special about being surrounded by people who genuinely support one another and care deeply about their craft. My approach to photography is centered around creating timeless and genuine images that my clients can hold onto forever. Whether I’m photographing a wedding day, a senior session at UVA, or a milestone season in someone’s life, my goal is always the same: to create photos that feel authentic, emotional, and meaningful years from now.
