
Rachel has been cooking professionally for over 35 years and has loved every minute of it. After graduating from The New England Culinary Institute and cooking in France (including a stage at Le Balandre in Cahors), she moved to Charlottesville and was a chef in many wonderful restaurants. About 18 years into her career, she got married, began a family and started a farm. Starting to create custom celebration cakes in 2007 fit beautifully into her life so she could be home with her son. In 2015, she moved the business out of her home and into a cottage that she renovated into her dream studio. This made it possible to include other creatives and work as a team, which has always been her goal.
