Amelia Camacho

Amelia Camacho is a Charlottesville-area musician, voice teacher, and wedding musician with more than 25 years of professional experience as a performer, educator, and music director. She maintains a private voice studio near Crozet, where she specializes in helping singers of all ages build healthy technique, confidence, and expressive freedom in a wide range of musical styles. In addition to teaching, she performs regularly as a singer, pianist, and flutist for weddings, churches, and theatrical productions throughout Central Virginia. For over two decades, Amelia served on staff at two local parishes as Director of Music, where she planned and led music for weekly services, major liturgical celebrations, and hundreds of wedding ceremonies. Her experience collaborating with clergy, couples, and guest musicians has given her a strong skill set in communication, event coordination, and creating meaningful, personalized musical experiences. Her specialties include vocal coaching, sacred and classical repertoire, musical direction, and working with singers and instrumentalists in live performance settings. Outside of music, Amelia enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time outdoors. Her favorite hobbies include cycling, running, and rowing, and she values the balance that physical activity and creative work bring to her life. Professionally, Amelia hopes to continue expanding her work as a performer, teacher, and collaborative musician, while building strong connections within the local arts and wedding communities. She is especially interested in networking with fellow wedding professionals, venues, planners, photographers, and musicians who value artistry, professionalism, and a spirit of collaboration. Her personal goal is to continue growing both as an artist and as a small business owner while maintaining a life that allows time for creativity, health, and community.
